Yoga Meditations for dissolving Body Tensions of the separate self

Whether one has realized their true nature or they are exploring the multitude of perceived stages of awakening, the physical sensations due to the illusion of the separate self linger in the body, thus manifesting as unpleasant tensions or contractions. Many people are not aware of the depth of their contractions until they become genuinely honest and open to the possibility of awakening.

However, most everyone has experienced a contraction of the separate self in the form of feelings of unworthiness or despair. Yet, we use coping mechanisms as distractions to avoid addressing our pain and sorrow; especially to the subtle depths necessary for total liberation. Often times, if not all, there is appropriate grieving and letting go required in order for one to develop the emotional maturity to effectively delve into self realization; but, that is not always the case.

The yoga meditations below can be utilized regardless of where you are on your path. However, once more, it is most beneficial to somehow acquire an openness to the possibility that the self image you think yourself to be is a limited view which represents your illusory separate self. And, the bodily tensions and contractions, or unpleasant sensations from the resistance of the separate self that arise is in direct response to one's intention to letting go of the illusion of who they think they are.

We have selected Rupert's videos on the idea of detoxing the God concept simply because we feel his videos are the most clear, eloquent, and direct of the several hundred options available.

Suggested Guidance for Session 1:

Find a place where you will not be distracted for at least 30 minutes. A setting in a forest; or by a: mountain, stream, or lake, etc. would be preferred - yet not necessary. If possible, use head phones as to limit the audible distractions from people, pets, and noises. Listen to a video then simmer and marinate in what you have just listened - sit in receptive openness and silence for the remaining time of your 30 minutes.

For one week follow this method:

Day 1: watch video 1 once in morning and once before bed (no TV or interruptions between watching and going to sleep.)

Day 2: watch video 2 once in morning and once before bed (no TV or interruptions between watching and going to sleep.)

Day 3 watch video 2 once in morning and once before bed (no TV or interruptions between watching and going to sleep.)

Day 4 watch video 2 once in morning and once before bed (no TV or interruptions between watching and going to sleep.)

Day 5 watch all 3 videos in succession then spend one hour walking outside somewhere in nature where there are very few people. If that option is not available, just sit for an hour doing nothing but gazing out a window.
